FORTHCOMING EVENTS FOR Spring/Summer 2007

Sat 5th May 2007	Cat Lovers Coffee morning at Offington Park Methodist Church Hall, South Farm Road, from 10.30am. Stalls, including cakes, books, WCWT merchandise and Raffle.

Sat 9th June 2007	Durrington Festival, Pond Lane recreation ground where we will be having our own stall, all day.

Sun 1st July 2007	Dogs Trust summer fair at Adur recreation ground, Shoreham where we will be having our stall. From 12 noon - 4pm.

Sun 15th July 2007	RSPCA Open Day - Patcham - where we are always invited to attend, from 11am.

Sat 21st July 2007	Broadwater Carnival & Stalls on Broadwater Green. All Day Event.
An excellent day bringing us in £282.00. Thank you to our helpers, Becky and Sandra (Our fabulous new helpers), Iris and myself! And of course, Sylvia.

Sun 29th July 2007	Worthing Sea Front Fayre. All Day Event.
Well, I thought it was supposed to be heavy rain but it was a lovely day. Not too hot but nice and warm. Another excellent day from the fundraising side of things bringing us in a staggering £502.00. Thanks to Jackie, Richard, Sandra and Beckie, Andy, Iris, Sandra, David and myself! Thank you also to our buyers who wanted to help our cats. Sue Lipman

Sat 4th August 2007	Adur recreation ground - Car Boot Sale. All Day Event.
A very early start today! Left home at 6.20am and we still ended up in a long queue at the entrance. The weather was excellent, the people friendly and we took £225.00. Thanks to Sharon (who was with us from start to finish), Mandy who came all the way from Haywards Heath to help us and Lucy who alternated between helping Brighton Cat Rescue and ourselves. Thank you again to our buyers who wanted to help our cats. Sue Lipman

Sat 18th August 2007	Ashington Festival ~ All day ~ Lots of activities throughout the day
Not good! We should have taken heed of the weather forecast! But we have done days which were supposed to be bad and they have turned out really good. Arrived about 9.30 am. It started out ok but a little windy. No buyers around for hours! Then the wind started gusting! Both gazebos were pinned down but one particular gust proved too much for the older gazebo and it literally 'took off'! Thank heavens no-one was hurt! The gazebo was a mangled mess which Andy dismantled into bits and threw away. Hopefully we will be able to claim. Tony was called for assistance and spent the rest of the day hanging off the remaining gazebo, just in case! The buyers started coming in around 2pm and we sold a bit, but nothing like the Worthing events we have had recently. 4pm and the heavens opened. Remember we had a gazebo missing! We (and the merchandise) got soaked! We quickly packed up and left! Total amount taken - only £170. Still, we were seen! Sat 25th August 2007	Sylvia's 'Famous' Coffee Morning As always, another fun and successful day. An excellent £530 collected by Sylvia and her amazing helpers. Thank you again Sylvia - always look forward to this day! Click HERE for photos

Monday 27th August 2007	Worthing Carnival. We won the float! Not only did we win £100 but also took £550 on the stall, making an excellent total of £650. Helpers: Too many to mention! Click HERE for photos

Sun 2nd Sept 2007	Co-op Car Boot Sale ~ Start 7am! Very quiet as this was the first but still took £110.

Sat 8th Sept 2007	Findon Sheep Fair & Village Festival ~ All day (10.30 start)
	Started off very quiet as the weather was pretty gloomy, cold and windy. By lunchtime the sun came out and we took £260.00. The pitches were rather small for the amount of stock we carry (we could have sold a lot more) - next year we will have to take two! Thanks to helpers: Sharon, Jackie, Richard, Tony, Tracy & myself (Sue).

Sun 9th Sept 2007	Shoots Garden Centre - Pet Awareness Day ~ 10.30 - 4.30 Thanks to Shoots, we had a good pitch and handed out lots of information about WCWT. This was not a fundraising day although we did sell a few octospiders!

Sat/Sun 15/16 Sept 2007	Shoreham Air Show ~ All day, both days A very successful two days, but dampened by the fatality with the Hurricane going down. Spoke to lots of lovely people and took an excellent £878.00 over the two days.

Sat 23rd Sept 2007	Roundstone Car Boot Sale ~ Morning I (Sue) did this mainly to clear my garage of many of the items handed in to us (no new items). There were LOADS of others selling similar items so I only managed to take £80. Cleared quite a lot, but then other kind people gave me more videos so garage full again!

Sun 7th October 2007	Co-op Car Boot Sale ~ Start 8am Arrived early as I had not realised it had been changed to an 8am start. Could have done with the extra hour of beauty sleep! It was a lovely day and the car boot sale is certainly starting to flourish. The gentleman who manages it is great. He lets us have the pitch for free and is always very helpful and friendly. The problem with doing the sale alone is leaving the stall for comfort breaks - no problem here, lots of lovely people who are willing to help out. Took £120.

Sat 27th October 2007	Sponsored Cycle Ride ~ Starting 10am from Sea Lane Cafe. What a fun day! Thanks to everyone who came along and either did the ride, collected or helped out with face paints. Sat 10th Nov 2007	Henfield Charities Christmas Fair ~ 10am - 1pm We will be selling lots of lovely new cat and human gifts, Cat Christmas cards and of course we will be doing our famous 'lucky straws'! Thanks to all who helped - Took £171.00

Sun 11th Nov 2007	Worthing Pavilion Indoor Market ~ All day We will be selling lots of lovely new cat and human gifts, Cat Christmas cards and of course we will be doing our famous 'lucky straws'! Another well needed £190.00 added to the funds.

Sat 17th Nov 2007	Guildbourne Centre ~ All day All our lovely items will be on sale plus a food collection point. What a success! We took a fantastic £582.25 today.

Sun 18th Nov 2007	Guildbourne Centre ~ All day All our lovely items will be on sale plus a food collection point. The cold and wet meant less people around but we still took another £185.00. We would like to thank Brenda for letting us have the excellent pitch and thank Brian for all his help.

Sat 24th November 2007	Worthing Cat Welfare Trust Gift Fair ~ 9.30am - 12.30pm We are holding our Gift Fair in the Parish Room, Broadwater. We have brought in lots of quality gifts for your cat and cat lovers. There will be lots of lovely cakes for you to purchase and refreshments will be available. More information to be added soon. What a splendid day! Lots of lovely people came to support us. It was a great atmosphere and the 3 hours went by very quickly. We sold lots of items and spoke to lots of people. We also took £628.20. A huge thank you to everyone involved.

Sat 1st Dec 2007	Lib Dem Christmas Fair ~ 10am - 1 pm Heene Community Centre - Heene Road Come and buy your Christmas gifts for your cat or Cat Loving Friends. Lots of lovely new gifts. Very poor day with few visitors - only £45.00 taken.

Sun 2nd Dec 2007	Worthing Pavilion Gift Fair ~ All day If you are looking for gifts for your cat or a cat lover, please come and support us here. Of course we will be doing our famous 'lucky straws'! Weather was atrocious - few visitors but still took £200.

Saturday 8th Dec 2007	Assembly Hall Worthing - organised by the CSV ~ All day An excellent day of stalls and entertainment.

Sat 15th December 2007	Guildbourne Centre ~ All day All our lovely items will be on sale plus a food collection point. Come along and see the Christmas Cats.
